Hello and welcome to my web page!  First of all, I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit my site and to check out beautiful Columbia, S.C.! Before we explore all of the great things Cola, S.C. has to offer – I would like for us to get acquainted. My hope is, once you have browsed my page – you will feel like you know me and you also feel a little closer to this town I am fortunate enough to call home.  

I have lived in the greater Columbia area for most of my life. I graduated from Dreher High School and received my Bachelors Degree from the University of South Carolina – Go Gamecocks! During my college years I was an active member of the fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon, which strives to give back to both the University and the community.  

        After graduation, I decided to follow in my Dad’s footsteps and pursue a career in Real Estate. I obtained my license in 2003 and teamed up with my Dad, Mike Scott. At that time, he was the Director of Corporate Homes, Century 21 Bob Capes Realtors and I began working in both the Corporate Homes and Relocation Departments. During my first year on the job I listed and sold 23 residential properties around the Columbia area. Not only did I have my plate full with my listings and sales, I also managed 16 counties of HUD foreclosed homes from 2003-2004, assisted with the property management of numerous corporate accounts and was in charge of the completion of Broker Price Opinion’s for five major asset management companies. After this first year – there was absolutely no stopping me!

        As of 2006 I decided to spread my wings and pursue a different direction in Real Estate – the New Homes market. I have since been working side by side with Hurricane Construction Incorporated and their Sales Manager, Bill Sinnett. Our team creates beautiful, functional and family oriented neighborhoods all around Columbia and the rest of the great state of South Carolina.

        My years of experience have taught me many things – one being – knowledge is power! I have recently received my designation as Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI.) The GRI symbol is the mark of a real estate professional who has made a strong commitment to provide a high level of professional services by securing a strong educational foundation. REALTORS® with the GRI designation are highly trained in many areas of real estate to better serve and protect their clients. GRI is recognized nationwide as the standard for real estate professionalism and knowledge. Furthermore, I am a member of the Greater Columbia Association of Realtors and the Home Builders Association Sales and Marketing Council of Greater Columbia and I am also on the board of The Young Alumni Association of South Carolina.  The Young Alumni Association helps recruit and maintain past graduates from The University of South Carolina and makes every effort to give back to the community that we have all spent many years growing up in.

        I am currently residing in West Columbia with my wife, Carter and two beautiful beagles, Wally and Daisy Mae. Besides work – my wife and I enjoy working in our yard, Carolina football and chasing after our dogs.
